TPG Player Evan Harmeling secured his first PGA Tour Korn Ferry victory in October, winning the Savannah Open in style. Evan birdied the 72nd hole to tie for the lead, and followed it with a birdie on the first playoff hole to notch the win. Evan finished 21 under par to match the Tournament scoring record.
Today Evan is in striking distance of qualifying for the PGA Tour, sitting 36 on the KF Points list as of this posting. The top 25 at year end qualify for the PGA Tour.
Evan qualified for the PGA Korn Ferry off his 2019 4th Place finish on the season-long PGA Tour Latinoamerica Order of Merit, including a victory in the BMW Jamaica Classic.
Evan is easy to root for. When he earned a new car for a hole in one at the VISA Open de Argentina, he gave it to his caddie. When he achieved his first professional victory in the 2013 home state Massachusetts Open, he donated the entire purse of $15,000 to the Boston Marathon bombing victims One Fund. Boston Strong.
